Keypad calculations, named values and your history are entirely local and never leave your device. The only thing that can leave your device is the text of a question you type or dictate into the assistant field, and only on some iPhones — see below.
Calculation history. Your calculations, answers and pinned entries are written to your device's local storage. They are never uploaded. Clearing them from the History screen removes them permanently.
Named values and preferences. Values you name, along with angle mode and keypad mode, are stored locally.
There is no sign-in and no cloud sync.
How your question is answered depends on your iPhone.
On iPhones with on-device generative intelligence. The question is handled by the operating system's built-in language model, on the device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Apple's own terms govern that system component.
On other supported iPhones. The app first tries to answer with a solver built into the app, offline — this covers tips, splits, discounts, tax, percentages, interest, loan repayments and unit conversions, and those questions never leave the device. If a question is outside what that solver understands, the text of the question, and the text of up to three previous questions and answers in the same conversation, are sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI provider (Groq Inc., groq.com) to be answered.
When that happens:
If you would rather no question ever leaves the device, use the keypad and converter, which are always fully local, and phrase assistant questions in the common forms the built-in solver handles.
If you open the Currency section of the converter, the app fetches daily reference rates from Exchange Rate API (exchangerate-api.com), falling back to the European Central Bank via Frankfurter (frankfurter.dev) if the first is unreachable.
Either request carries nothing but a base currency code — no identifier, no account, no location, and nothing about what you are converting. The rates are then kept on your device and refreshed only when a newer set has been published. The source and publication date are shown on screen whenever a converted amount is.
Dictation is optional and starts only when you tap the microphone button. Audio is converted to text by the operating system's speech recogniser and used solely to fill the question field. Where your language supports it, the app requests on-device recognition so audio does not leave the phone. Audio is never recorded, stored or transmitted by the app. You can decline or later revoke microphone and speech access in Settings; every other feature continues to work.
The app is rated 4+, has no account, and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Any change to this policy will be published with the app update that makes it, and the date above will be revised.
This app is published by Mrinal Singh Raja, an individual, under the name “MSRX”. MSRX is a brand name, not a registered company, and nothing here should be read as implying a company behind it.
