MSRX Clean · Effective 10 August 2026 · Supersedes the OrionClean policy
MSRX Clean collects no data of any kind. There is no account, no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting. Nothing about you or your files is transmitted anywhere, ever.
What is collected
Nothing. This is not a promise to handle your data carefully — it is the absence of any collection to handle. The app has no server, no account system, and no analytics or crash-reporting library of any kind built into it.
This matches the app's privacy report on the App Store, which declares that no data is collected, and the privacy manifest shipped inside the app itself.
What the app can see, and how
MSRX Clean runs inside a sandbox. It cannot read anything on your computer until you explicitly grant it a folder, and it cannot widen that grant by itself.
- You choose the folder. The app sees that folder and nothing outside it.
- File names, sizes and modification dates are read to work out what can be removed. They are shown on screen and then discarded.
- Photo comparison happens entirely on your computer. Images are never uploaded, and no image ever leaves the device.
- Photo and music libraries, cloud containers, application bundles and system folders are never entered.
- Your grant is remembered between launches so you do not have to repeat it. Nothing else about your files is stored.
Network use
The app makes exactly one kind of network request, and only when you ask for it: the connection speed check on the Network screen, which downloads and uploads a fixed block of meaningless test data to measure throughput.
That test carries no information about you, your files or your computer. If you never press that button, the app never touches the network at all. Every other feature works fully offline.
On-device intelligence
The optional assistant runs on your computer using the system's own on-device model. Your questions are not sent to any server, including ours. If your computer does not support it, every other feature still works.
Location
The system will only reveal the name of the network you are joined to if an app has location access. MSRX Clean requests that permission for that single purpose, behind a button you have to press.
No coordinate is ever requested, read, stored or transmitted, and the app contains no code that asks for your position. Declining costs you nothing but the network's name.
Payments and purchases
MSRX Clean has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. If you obtained the app through the App Store, the store handles distribution and any payment under its own privacy policy. We receive no payment details and no personal information from that process.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Your rights
Rights such as access, correction, export and erasure apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request, correct, export or delete. Removing the app removes everything it ever stored, all of which was on your own computer.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. Should MSRX Clean ever begin collecting anything at all, that would be stated here plainly and reflected in the app's App Store privacy report before the version that did so was released.
Who is responsible for this app
