Privacy Policy
MSRX PassportFast · Last updated: August 2026
MSRX PassportFast collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, and no server to send anything to.
The app makes no network requests of any kind. It works with aeroplane mode on, and that is the simplest way to verify this policy for yourself.
Your photos
Photos are read from your library or taken with the camera, processed on your device, and written back only when you ask the app to save. They are never uploaded, never sent to a third party, and never used to train anything.
Camera
The camera is used only while the capture screen is open, which happens when you tap Take photo. The live preview is analysed on the device so the app can tell you whether your head is the right size in frame. Those preview frames are not recorded and not written to disk. Nothing is captured until you press the shutter.
Photo library
The app asks for two separate permissions, and you can grant one without the other:
- Reading, so you can choose a photo to work from. On recent versions of iOS you may grant access to selected photos only, and the app works normally that way.
- Adding, so a finished photo or print sheet can be saved. The app can only add; it cannot see, alter or delete anything already in your library.
On-device processing
Face detection, measuring the top of your head, and separating you from the background all run through the operating system's built-in on-device vision service. No image data leaves the device at any point. Background replacement is performed locally, and is deliberately unavailable for authorities that refuse edited photos.
What the app does not do
- It does not collect, store or transmit your photos.
- It does not require an account or any personal information.
- It does not track you, show advertising, or contain third-party SDKs.
- Its privacy manifest declares no required-reason APIs, because the app uses none.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with developers in your device settings, the operating system may send anonymised crash and performance reports. That is a system feature you control, not something the app collects, and those reports contain no photographs.
Payment
The app is free, with everything unlocked and no in-app purchases. It never asks for payment details.
Children's privacy
The app collects no data from anyone, including children. Nothing is gathered that could identify a child, or anyone else.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Because the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new use of your data.
